Armando Mayo
Armando Mayo is a strategic communications advisor, educator, executive communication coach and founder of Arvima Communications. He helps leaders and organizations clarify their message, strengthen visibility and communicate with the judgment, consistency and confidence their audiences expect.
His work focuses on the communication challenges that shape reputation, leadership effectiveness and organizational growth. He partners with executives, founders and institutions to develop clear messaging, prepare for high-stakes moments and build communication systems that create alignment, credibility and long-term trust.
Throughout his career, Armando has led communication initiatives spanning higher education, nonprofit organizations, financial services and professional services. His experience includes strategic communications, fundraising communications, executive visibility, thought leadership, brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.
Armando is also the creator of Say It Better, an Arvima Communications coaching product designed to help people prepare for speeches, interviews, presentations and important conversations while preserving their own voice.
In addition to his advisory work, Armando has taught communication and public speaking at the University of Tampa and Hillsborough College, helping students and professionals become stronger, more effective communicators.
A lifelong Tampa Bay resident, Armando brings a deep understanding of the local business and nonprofit landscape and is passionate about helping organizations use communication to build trust, strengthen relationships and create lasting impact.
Armando earned both a bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations and a master's degree in professional communication from the University of Tampa.
